Residents Visit Florida Power and Light’s Manatee Lagoon

On March 31st, we took our residents to see the new Florida Power and Light (FPL) Eco-Discovery Center’s Manatee Lagoon. The residents enjoyed hands on exhibits, a guided tour, and looking for the manatees in the warm water near the power plant. They could sit on the first or second floor outer decks and watch the boats coming and going in the intracoastal waterway or just relax and take in the beautiful spring day. The excursion ended with a stop for ice cream. They had such a great time that we’ll definitely be going again!
